North Forr Landfill Restoration

The company has experience of carrying out work on landfill restoration to sustainable grazing for livestock or production of conservation grass. Work has been conducted at two sites owned by Perth and Kinross Council – North Forr and Dalcruie.

At North Forr GPS and nutrient and pH mapping
techniques were used to determine the fertiliser application rate.

Conductivity mapping was also carried out to provide information for the drainage requirements of the site and to determine the depth of the old landfill.

CSC designed and provided the materials for the surface drainage scheme at both sites. At Dalcruie recommendations were made based on the use of the same techniques.
