Soil Remediation Plant
CSC Land Restoration operate a specialist machine for decontamination of soils ex situ but on site. The unit is mobile so can be moved from site to site as required. Dependant on conditions it can treat up to 60 tonne/hr. The main component of the unit is a vertical chain mill which aggressively mixes the contaminated material with the treatment reagents (liquid(s) and/or powder).
From the main hopper the material passes across a weighcell which allows accurate recording of the tonnage of soil being treated, before entering the chain mill. Chemicals, liquid cultures and powders are injected directly into the mill where they gravitate with the soil through a chain battery rotating at 500 rpm. The treated material is then discharged via an elevator for stockpiling/biopiling and eventual return to the void on site.
