About Us (Land Restoration)
CSC Land Restoration is a UK-based land restoration and remediation contractor.
CSC Land Restoration brings together the specialist skills of its staff with the existing skills and experience from others within the CSC group and as such is able to offer a professional service backed by years of environmental and agronomic experience. We also work in partnership with the Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Research Centre (CLARRC), a Scottish centre of excellence for environmental research and consultancy.
Within the sector of contaminated land remediation we have experience with a number of methodologies including, for soils, excavation and disposal, chemical oxidation, bioremediation and stabilisation of soil contaminants and pump and treat. We also operate our own specialised machinery for use in remediation projects, which allows us to treat up to 60 tonne/hr of contaminated soil. All remediation work we carry out is done under the conditions of our Mobile Plant Licence.
The agronomic expertise available to us is of particular value in our landfill restoration work. In this area we have been able to use GPS to map the nutrient and pH status of the land and use the data to determine fertiliser and lime application rates. The GPS technology has also been useful to produce a conductivity map of a site which can be interpreted to give information regarding the landfill cap.
